Dog Reunites With The Soldier Who Saved Her Overseas

Posted on December 10, 2021 by admin

This is a warm moment for a soldier to reunite with the dog he rescued and adopted while on duty in Iraq. Thanks to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Association (SPCA), the dog has been transported through a location to JFK International Airport and then to Tampa, where she will meet with her rescuers. This moment was broadcast live on TV, and their reunion was irresistible.

Nick Pierzchalski served as a Black Hawk pilot in Iraq for more than a year. Nick is an open-minded person who always takes care of his comrades in arms. After all, his job as a pilot should also bring other soldiers to safety. But now Nick has time to take care of other helpless creatures, such as stray dogs.

The brave pilot also adopted a dog that was a few months old and took care of it abroad. He and his comrades fed Ellis with their own food—a stray dog as Nick said. Later they built a dog house for her and even ordered dog food for her. In return, this energetic dog makes the soldiers happy and is a source of happiness for everyone in the camp.

“She was a part of a pack of dogs, and she came running up to us after a crew came off the flight line,” Nick said. “We all had pets at home. Just to bring a little slice of home to us over there, it was the world to us.”

The soldier soon fell in love with the dog he saved and decided to take her to the United States. But he knew it was no easy task. Fortunately, with the help of SPCA, Nick and his beloved furry companion will be reunited in the United States nearly a year later.

“I didn’t think it was going to happen,” Nick said. “She’s part of the family now.” Watch the adorable moment, below! Do not hesitate to let us know your opinion and do not forget to share the video with your friends and family!
