A puppy who had been stranded on the solidified Detroit Stream for four days was protected Saturday. A Metro Detroit veterinarian shed light Sunday on how the pooch is doing and the impossible thing which will have spared his life.
Hospital owner Dr. Lucretia Greear, said He’s a miracle,”
The dog’s name is Alfonso or Fonzi – as of Saturday. Fonzi was stranded for four days on ice in Detroit Stream until a Great Samaritan who wished to be unnamed saved him with an airboat and brought him to shore.
Greear said the irony of him surviving was his thick matted coat. Luckily because he was not groomed the thick coat saved him literally.
