Shortly thereafter, Captain Jeff Nofell of the Wells Police Department in Maine arrived at the scene. It took a lot of effort for the firefighter to deal with the critical situation . A few minutes later, he was able to successfully protect the trapped dog. “The dog was walking around the pouch overhang,” Captain Nofell told Inside Edition. “It didn’t look so hopeless.” But the dog left everyone there silently in the way he thanked Captain Nofel.
