The guide dog showed incredible devotion and courage when he saw a school minibus driving directly to the blind owner. The school bus driver did not see Audrey Stone and her service dog Figo crossing the road, but Figo saw the bus coming close to the blind owner and responded by rushing to the nearest part of the bus to protect Stone.
Brewster Police Commissioner John Del Gardo said that the dog got hit by the bus, according to USA Today. Moreover the dog didn’t even want to leave the owner alone. He stood next to her. The loyal dog was there to save her life.” Fifteen EMTs arrived to help Stone, who had broken ankle, her right elbow, and had three broken ribs. Throughout the process, Figo wanted to be close to her, and Stone had several ribs broken.
On the other side, the loyal dog had his right leg wounded and the medical staff were bandaging him. In the chaos, the dog remained calm despite the apparent situation and did not bark or cry. Since Figo couldn’t get along with Stone in the ambulance, he was loaded into a truck and taken to the vet to get the necessary treatments. Figo and Stone are doing well in the hospital after surgery.
